When you are redesigning your gray kitchen, one of the most important design decisions is what type of hardware to choose to match your cabinets. There are many options out there and it can be hard to know which one will work best for you! We have created this blog post with a few tips on how to find cabinet hardware that’s right for you.

Consider the style of your gray kitchen.

If your kitchen has a minimalist look, then you may want to stick with something that’s sleek, simple, and contemporary. If the style is more traditional, then you might prefer hardware that brings in some shine or sparkle!

Choose a finish that complements your gray kitchen cabinets and appliances.

If you are still debating whether or not to change your gray kitchen, then this is an easy one. If the hardware on your gray cabinets and appliances match, chances are good that they will complement each piece in a new design too!

But if you have already made the decision to update them both, think about what finish would be versatile with the other pieces in your gray kitchen.

A classic stainless steel finish will bring a modern look into your space, while black hardware would be better for a farmhouse design.

This is also important because some finishes like gold, yellow, copper or brass may be elegant, but may not work well with certain appliances, like stainless steel.

It’s also important to remember that there is such a thing as too much shine! If you’re worried about the hardware being overpowering in your space, then look for something with understated details and finishes that complements the decor in the interior of your gray kitchen.

Look for hardware that is easy to install and matching your budget.

Installing your own hardware can be costly if you’re not sure what you are doing. We suggest looking for things that just screw on and don’t require any additional tools or work on the part of the homeowner.

The best way to save money is by making sure there’s enough space in between each handle so they don’t hit one another. You don’t need to worry about this with cabinet pulls, but you will if there are handles that hang on the front of your cabinets.

If you can afford it and want to make a statement in your kitchen, then try finding hardware pieces with ornate details! But keep in mind that these may be difficult for an amateur DIYer to install.

Find out what type of cabinet door handles are on the market, including pull-out drawers, drawer slides, and hinges.

If you want to be able to easily access all the items in your pantry, then look for a pull-out drawer handle. They are great for storage!

There’s also cabinet door handles with hinges so that they can swing open on their own or stay where they are without opening too wide and hitting other cabinets. These could work well in a kitchen with limited counter space.

And if you’re looking for hardware that will work well in a small space, then hinges are your best bet because they will take up less room than the other types of handles.

But beware: Some people find it difficult to open and close their cabinets when there are lots of screws or bolts sticking out.

Make sure you have enough space in between each handle so you can easily open them without hitting one another or the wall.

This is important because if they hit one another, it can be difficult to open and close the doors or depending on how far the gray kitchen cabinet doors or drawers open the force could leave a mark on the wall. You should leave at least two inches between each handle so you have room to navigate around them.

But keep in mind that sometimes handles with backplates will need space on both sides of the door for mounting brackets or screws! And if you want hardware that will blend in well with the design of your space, then look for handles without any screws or bolts on the back.

Decide whether or not you want knobs with backplates or just knobs alone.

Some people will attach a door knob to the front of their gray cabinets and then cover it with a backplate.

The plates can be found in different shapes, sizes, materials, tones, and colors. You may want to experiment by placing one on top of your current hardware so you know what you like best!

If you don’t want something that will cover up the hardware, then go with something that’s just a knob.
